HVAC Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency HVAC service, repair, and maintenance for residential & commercial clients
- Diagnose system issues accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot systems effectively
- Provide honest and clear recommendations to customers regarding repairs and system upgrades
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC service experience (Required)
- EPA Certification (Required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
- Recommend repair or replacement based on system condition and customer needs
- Clearly explain findings, recommendations, and solutions to homeowners
- Maintain accurate service documentation, invoices, and work orders
- Prepare material lists and coordinate project needs when applicable
- Install and troubleshoot low-voltage control wiring
- Ensure all work complies with company standards
- Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, supervisors, and fellow technicians
- Promote and enroll customers in preventive maintenance agreements
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and properly care for company equipment
- Represent O'Brien Service Company with professionalism at every customer interaction
- Participate in after-hours emergency service rotation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
