Job Description
This is a 3rd Shift Position running Monday-Thursday 7pm-5:30am

We are looking for a welder fabricator for our established sheet metal shop.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Read blueprints
  • Read and use a tape measure
  • Work independently as well as with others to assemble projects within 1/32 inch.
  • Work with sheet metal and occasionally heavier metal
  •  Performs MIG and/or TIG weld on steel, stainless, and aluminum sheet metal based on project requirements
  • Sets up components for welding according to specifications
•     Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements - can weld to desired requirements
•     Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
•     Tests and inspects welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws i.e., to pass leak check and MT check
•     grinds off excess weld or spatter
•     Sands or touches up weld with sander and/or grinder
•     Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
•     High school diploma/GED preferred

•     Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
•     Ability to identify and measure material
•     Ability to produce quality products consistently
•     Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
•     Strong problem-solving skills
•     Ability to work independently
•     Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
