This is a full time benefited position with salary of $54,00 to $58,000


Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to perpetuate Winthrop Rockefeller’s legacy of collaborative problem-solving by designing and facilitating respectful convenings that address important issues and foster mutual understanding across diverse viewpoints at the Institute, in Arkansas, and beyond.


Essential Responsibilities:

Facilitation and Meeting Design

  • Work with clients to define meeting goals and outcomes that are attainable
  • Apply knowledge of facilitation techniques and theory for impactful meetings
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of facilitation techniques, both basic and advanced
  • Support the Senior Facilitation Services Officer in developing Institute facilitation tools


Active Facilitation

  • Direct and lead groups, both large and small, through facilitated exercises in-person and online
  •  Demonstrate strong public speaking skills and the ability to engage audiences
  •  Demonstrate proficiency in charting and data analysis, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Cultivate strong interpersonal skills and conflict-resolution abilities


Post-Facilitation

  • Compile and present meeting results in a compelling and accessible way via reports and transcriptions
  • Articulate critical decisions and action points from facilitated meetings clearly
  • Provide key insights from the facilitation and participant interactions to meeting sponsors
  • Coordinate client follow-up to solicit feedback on results and impact
  • Analyze survey responses and client feedback for future planning
Requirements

Other Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and leverage relationships with potential and existing clients, both individual and organizational
  • Support relationships with other Institute departments
  • Maintain a breadth of knowledge, including research, trends, emerging issues, and policy
  • Cross-departmental collaboration and support for convenings, programs, and workshops when feasible
  • Other duties that support the Institute’s mission and day-to-day success

  • Creative thinker and problem solver with a high level of self-direction
  • Intellectually curious with a positive, team-minded attitude
  • Demonstrated strength in project management
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Professional appearance and attitude with reliable transportation and flexible work schedule


Environmental Factors: (lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc.)

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8-10 hours), daily
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (2-3 hours), as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on behalf of the Institute.

Quality or Quantity Standards: The Institute expects integrity, professionalism, and high-quality work from all employees.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or significant relevant experience

Required Experience: 2-3 years of facilitation experience

Work Schedule: Varies, occasional nights and weekends; anticipated 30% in-state travel
