Janitorial 


Responsibilities/Requirements

  • Report directly to the Facilities Director as job description is subject to change per the needs of the school corporation.
  • Clean & maintain areas as assigned by Facilities Director
  • Duties include cleaning/sanitation of Restrooms, Classrooms, Cafeterias, Offices, Gymnasiums
  • Mopping, vacuuming and carpet cleaning - including bodily fluids such as blood or vomit
  • Stocking supplies and hand sanitizing stations
  • Work with staff to ensure request are met in a timely manner
  • Setup of tear down of tables and chairs for events
  • Maintain confidentiality with regards to school business, students, staff and families.
  • Promote positive school climate.
  • Remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or the Facilities Director.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently under the constraints of organizational policies and guidelines, as well as applicable federal, state and local laws.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a wide variety of circumstances with shifting priorities.
  • Must have flexible hours to work Monday-Friday, dependent upon athletic calendar.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work while wearing PPE
