We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities Maintenance Helper to support the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our facility and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine interior and exterior inspections, repairs, and maintenance throughout the facility.
- Complete a variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and sheetrock repairs.
- Proactively identify and repair maintenance issues as they arise.
- Complete and maintain quarterly preventative maintenance logs.
- Conduct weekly facility safety inspections and address or report hazards promptly.
- Assist with room setups, furniture arrangements, and equipment preparation for special events.
- Perform daily and as needed groundskeeping activities.
- Complete lawn maintenance duties as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and buildings.
- Pick up trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, replace lighting, move materials, and perform minor repairs.
- Clean floors, restrooms, and waste receptacles throughout the facility.
- Continuously monitor property conditions and take appropriate action to correct unsafe conditions.
- Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in facility maintenance or one or more building maintenance trades.
- Ability to safely and effectively use power tools and hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, coworkers, and vendors.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends, off-shift hours, and limited travel as needed.
