Family Nurse Practitioner in Malibu, CA | Residential Facility 
Location: Malibu, CA
Hours: 40
Compensation: $120,000 - 150,000
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
A private, residential facility for Child and Adolescent (18 and younger) patients is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join its multi-disciplinary team in Malibu, CA due to growth and expansion. The FNP will be responsible for providing onsite and remote medical care to its facilities in CA and ID alongside behavioral health treatments.  
  • Perform basic H&Ps for new admissions
  • Medically clear discharges
  • Acute medical needs: coughs, infections, bumps, bruises, etc.
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with team of therapists, nurses, PMHNP, and Psychiatrist
  • Paid call stipend

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide focused medical care in Residential Treatment setting
  • Evaluate incoming patients for conditions to confirm known and unknown diagnoses. Residents’ medical history cleared by admissions team prior to arrival.
  • Provide medical treatment on as-needed basis for concerns that may arise
  • Assess outgoing patients prior to discharge
  • Guide, collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, LCSWs, and Psychiatrists.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • FNP Board Certification.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in CA required or ability to obtain.
    • Ability to obtain licenses in ID, ME, and NH for call coverage.
  • Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience in Psychiatry or Behavioral Health not required.
