Experience with Federal Aid is essential, as is a commitment to providing outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail is crucial, along with the capability to manage tight deadlines and navigate the complexities of statutory requirements. A self-motivated individual who excels both independently and as part of a team will find this role particularly rewarding.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Working closely with the accounting manager, overseeing the daily functions of the Assets Team involves reviewing tasks, assisting team members, and providing necessary guidance to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial transactions such as capital transactions to ensure they comply with State and Federal Rules and Regulations.
- Instructing and advising employees in the operation of our accounting systems.
- Preparing supporting schedules in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Testing system updates to ensure internal controls are met and ensure we are in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
