Job Description

Blackwood is seeking a Federal Contracts & Compliance Coordinator to support the execution and administration of federal contracts and related company agreements. This role will partner closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to facilitate contract formation and support client requirements. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in government contracting on a growing team with the opportunity to assist in continuous improvement initiatives and workflow efficiency. This role reports to the Manager of Contracts & Capture. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure timely completion of mandatory reporting and compliance activities for federal contract vehicles 
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation within contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and internal repositories 
  • Support contract modifications, amendments, extensions, renewals, and other contractual changes as required. 
  • Serve as contractual point of contact for maintenance of various supplier and vendor portals 
  • Prepare standard procurement forms, federal representations and certifications, and ad hoc requirements in support of RFQ’s. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for issuance and execution of various company agreements, performing first-level contractual reviews and identifying issues requiring escalation to Manager. 
  • Support bid and proposal efforts, including proposal coordination, first-pass compliance reviews, and collection of required submission materials.


Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems. 
  • Strong organizational skills; accuracy and attention to detail, including follow-up. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel mandatory. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in federal contracts or procurement environment. 
  • BA/BS degree 
  • US Citizen; ability and willingness to obtain security clearance 
  • Remote role, but DMV area preferred

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience supporting GWACs and other large order vehicles (GSA MAS, NASA SEWP, IDIQs)
