The Role
Cav is seeking a highly motivated Federal Solution Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to federal customers throughout the pre-sales, implementation, and adoption lifecycle. This role bridges customer mission requirements with the capabilities of the Cav platform, ensuring successful deployments and long-term customer success.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting U.S. Federal agencies, understands cloud security and compliance frameworks, and can translate complex technical concepts into business value for both technical and executive stakeholders.
As a key member of the customer-facing team, you will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and federal customers to design scalable solutions that accelerate compliance, strengthen security postures, and support mission objectives.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government customers, contractors, or federal system integrators.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with cybersecurity, compliance, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), or cloud security solutions.
- Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks, including:
- NIST RMF
- NIST 800-53 (Rev 4, Rev 5)
- NIST CSF
- Experience designing and documenting technical architectures and system integrations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance, if required.

Desired
- Experience working within federal civilian, defense, or intelligence community environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security, DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and continuous monitoring programs.
- Hands-on experience with compliance automation platforms, cybersecurity platforms, or GRC tools.
- AWS, Azure, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or comparable certifications.
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms in a customer-facing role.
- Understanding of Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and compliance assessment workflows.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-82 compliance framework.
- Experience working with federal partners, system integrators, and channel organizations.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes and mission value.
