Position Summary

This role is responsible for defining, designing, governing, delivering, and supporting Enterprise systems-centric solutions that enable and enhance FICO, AP, AR, Treasury, sales, and use tax and royalty distribution processes with a high level of customer focus and business knowledge to ensure the appropriate business needs are clearly defined, communicated, and delivered at or above expectations.

 The Business Analyst will build and maintain effective relationships with key business stakeholders by offering guidance and recommendations as needed to ensure clarity of understanding and alignment of company goals. This role will also partner with various IT team members to ensure the feasibility, comprehension, and successful delivery of business requirement best practice solutions.

This role will effectively communicate and properly manage time, providing ongoing support, including the development of business cases, business requirements, process documentation, test scenarios, and training materials. This role actively multitasks and enjoys collaborating within a high-performing team that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibilities, and promotes continuous learning.

In addition, the position will promote the adoption and best practices of responsible platforms.

  • Analyze and design new business processes for a multi-faceted manufacturing industry.
  • Apply technical and functional knowledge to create world-class solution architecture that effectively integrates with the business units' operations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key business and IT stakeholders to understand current and future business requirements and strategies for information technology services and systems.
  • Document business needs, distinguish between needs and wants, identify gaps between business needs and standard application functionality, design and document solutions that fill the gaps, and provide detailed business requirements specifications for developers.
  • Expertise in FICO and a strong functional understanding of SD, MM, PP, and PM primary applications and tables, with the ability to design, customize, and configure.
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans to assess the integrity and accuracy of business processes, functional modifications/enhancements, etc.
  • Maintain business process and end-user training documentation and deliver training as required.
  • Must possess strong and proven analytical skills, critical reasoning skills, and conceptual/problem-solving skills.
  • Must be results-oriented and demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including but not limited to written and oral communications.
  • Support, analyze, and resolve production application issues as required.
  • Ability to apply the Agile methodology to continuously improve the time to value for the solution.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Best Practices.

 

Position Requirements

  • 7-10 years’ experience in an IT BA role implementing and/or supporting SAP.  SAP S/4HANA experience required, preferably SAP S4/HANA PCE.
  • SAP FICO experience, including AP/AR/Tax/Fixed Assets, Treasury, and banking function experience, SAP Reporting and Consolidation, SAC Group Reporting is preferable, SAP Electronic Data Interchange.  Winshuttle script development for SAP is a plus.  SAP-PRA exposure is a plus.
  • Good understanding of cost center accounting, primary and secondary cost elements, activity charging, and CO actual data,
  • Experience should include the setup, testing, and maintenance of house banks, and the integration of SAP with banks - NACHA files, check formats, and EDI and BAI file formats.
  • Controlling - Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Internal Orders.
  • Sales and tax determination and reporting systems like Sovos GTD support experience required.
  • AP invoicing automation and expense management systems support experience required.
  • Experience supporting WorldPay B2B (Paymetric) or other electronic payment platforms.
  • Document management system user support for AP invoicing, sales, and use tax-related processes and users.  
  • Experience delivering projects in an agile environment.
  • Experience in the industrial manufacturing industry.  Oil and Gas industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to use appropriate analysis, judgment, and logic when solving problems and making decisions.
  • Ability to maintain awareness and knowledge of relevant, existing, and emerging technologies and the impact they have on business operations.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving both short and long-term goals in a fluid environment.

Education Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.  CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Project Management
  • Certification in core SAP competencies.

 

Working Conditions

  • This position typically follows an 8-hour workday, Monday-Friday, with specific hours determined by the supervisor.
  • Following an initial onboarding period of 30-90 days, this role transitions to a hybrid schedule: 3 days on-site and 2 days remote (work from home). 
  • Remote workdays must fall between Tuesday and Thursday and are subject to the supervisor’s approval.              
    • When working from home, employees should respond to internal and external messages within one to two hours and complete all daily assigned tasks to the expected quality and timeliness standards.
    • Working from home should be seamless and without disruptions. All team members, internal and external customers, should continue to receive excellent customer service without compromise. If any issues impact our ability to deliver that level of service, remote work will no longer be an option, and the employee will be required to work full-time from the office. This includes technical or connectivity issues, among others.
    • To help maintain uninterrupted service, it is highly recommended that employees schedule vacation time, appointments, etc., during their WFH days. The manager should also approve this time away from the desk to ensure consistent coverage.  
    • The person in this role is also expected to be available to work at the office when needed for special projects, training, or any other work-related requirements.
  • Physical requirements are typical for an in-office environment.  Computer, email, and phone-related tasks account for over 80% of the typical workday. Physical requirements include acceptable close vision, fine motor skills associated with typical computer work, communication, and the ability to focus for long periods mentally.
  • Must handle multiple communication inputs and juggle numerous requests daily.
  • Must create and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, vendors, customers, and peers across the team and company.
  • Reports to Texas United Management Corporation’s Enterprise System Manager.
