Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

• Assigned to complete standardized, lower complexity plan amendments including Document Creation, Functional Items, and FIT assessments 

• Responds to internal business partners for questions on Documents or updates to Product Central

• Makes decisions based on protecting the client and Fidelity

• Communicates status of amendment 

• Handles workflow with business partners and addresses their inquiries or internal business partners within the Amendment Consultant Team


Working Relationships:

• Amendment Consultant – Consult with and partner to answer questions related to amendment process and document

• Managing Director – Use procedures to advise and communicate to help reach best solution for client

• Implement process improvements to gain efficiencies of scale across the team.

• Auditor – To complete the amendment process and resolve any NIGO situations


Skills/Knowledge:

• Strong computer skills; MS Office Suite

• Understanding of the 401(k) industry

• Knowledge of Fidelity products, services, policies, and procedures

• Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency, risk, and client expectations

• Effective time management

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to articulate a point of view in a compelling & succinct manner

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment & handle large volume of work

• Ability to comprehend and explain technical concepts

• Basic understanding of ERISA, IRC, and DOL regulations related to 401(k) plans
