Build More Than Beautiful Homes. Build Relationships, Quality, and Trust.

At The Home Center Flooring & Lighting, we believe exceptional customer experiences begin long before a homeowner walks through the front door. As our Field Manager, you'll be the trusted partner who brings every flooring installation together—working alongside builders, installers, and our internal team to ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and with the quality craftsmanship our customers have come to expect for nearly 50 years.

This is more than managing job sites. You'll be solving problems, building relationships, supporting our installation partners, and helping families move into homes they'll love for years to come.

If you're someone who enjoys being in the field, thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional results, and values working for a company where everyone feels like family, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Field Manager, you'll serve as the operational leader for residential flooring installations from project kickoff through final completion. You'll:

  • Partner closely with builders, superintendents, and independent installers to ensure every installation is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct pre-installation site visits to verify job readiness, identify potential issues, and proactively resolve concerns before installation begins.
  • Complete field measurements and verify material quantities to ensure every project is prepared for a successful installation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to installation partners while ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and builder expectations.
  • Visit active job sites to monitor workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and overall installation quality.
  • Resolve field challenges quickly to keep projects moving while maintaining outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Perform final quality inspections, oversee punch list completion, and ensure projects are delivered with pride.
  • Coordinate installation schedules and manage relationships with independent contractors to maximize efficiency and service.
  • Monitor installer performance and provide feedback that supports continuous improvement and long-term success.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, lot tracking, reporting, and system updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, enhance quality, and create exceptional customer experiences.

What Makes You Successful

The best Field Managers are natural problem-solvers who enjoy working with people just as much as they enjoy working on projects. You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy being out in the field and solving problems in real time.
  • Can confidently manage multiple active projects and shifting priorities.
  • Have exceptional communication skills and build strong relationships with builders, installers, and customers.
  • Take pride in quality craftsmanship and never overlook the details.
  • Are organized, dependable, and comfortable making decisions independently.
  • Value teamwork and enjoy working in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

Why You'll Love Working Here

At The Home Center, you're more than an employee—you're part of a team that genuinely cares about one another. We've built our reputation over nearly five decades by treating our customers and associates like family. We celebrate successes together, support one another through challenges, and believe every team member plays an important role in delivering exceptional experiences.
