Who We Are:

KC Harvey Environmental (an Aventia company) is a growing environmental consulting and field services firm headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, with regional operations in Rawlins, and Sheridan, Wyoming; Tioga, North Dakota; and remote operations throughout the Rocky Mountains and Northern Great Plains.

Our team is a crucial companion for industries with reclamation, restoration, or remediation needs (energy and mining industries and state and federal agencies) by combining consulting, engineering, and field service capabilities with a proven depth of environmental expertise. Our projects include large infrastructure development such as powerlines, pipelines, mines, wind farms, and oil and gas fields.

As evidence-driven professionals, we’re committed to solving problems and finding paths forward, and we pursue interesting and challenging projects across the western United States.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale environmental construction projects across Nevada and Idaho, including transmission, pipeline, and renewable energy development.

This position is responsible for managing multiple field crews, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both oversight and active participation in field work. The position involves extended travel and time in remote project locations.

The successful candidate will ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, SWPPP requirements, and client expectations. Competitive pay: $80,000-$105,000 depending on experience, Per diem and housing for remote projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate multiple field crews performing erosion control, reclamation, and restoration activities.

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and removal of stormwater and erosion control BMPs, including wattles, silt fence, erosion blankets, and related controls.

  • Manage daily scheduling, crew deployment, and work sequencing in coordination with construction activities.

  • Order, track, and manage project materials, staging areas, and inventory.

  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and inspectors to align work with project priorities and environmental requirements.

  • Monitor weather and site conditions to proactively manage stormwater risk and field operations.

  • Ensure all work complies with SWPPP requirements, permits, and environmental specifications.

  • Perform field troubleshooting and adjust operations based on real-time site conditions.

  • Assist with reclamation activities including soil preparation, seeding, stabilization, and restoration implementation.

  • Support plant salvage, revegetation, and vegetation management efforts as needed.

  • Utilize digital tools to track production, document work, and support reporting (GIS-based systems preferred).

  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including field logs and material tracking.

  • Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture, including stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe.

  • Maintain a professional and collaborative attitude with crews, clients, and project stakeholders.

  • Be available for extended workdays, early start times, and work in remote or rugged terrain.
