Job Description

The Opportunity:

Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of File Maintenance Clerk at our St. Norbert Food store located at 3477 Pembina Highway in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position reports to the Grocery Manager. 

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Be an expert on operations of all back-office computer programs in order to maintain an accurate price file to ensure scanning accuracy.
  • Ensure that price tags and signage placed throughout the store are consistent with item prices as recorded within the store computer. Strive for 100 percent scanning accuracy at all times. Investigate and correct all price discrepancies.
  • Prepare tags and place them appropriately throughout the store.
  • Prepare signage for mass and bunk end displays.
  • Coordinate weekly ad changes and provide leadership to other staff in this area.
  • Ensure timely implementation of all Co-op point of sale advertising materials (banners, aisle interrupters, end cap headers, iron man signs, etc.)

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Previous experience in a retail grocery department, preferred but not required

  • Above average communication / interpersonal skills

  • A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office 

  • Willing to work different shifts including early mornings at 5:00am
  • Available to work 32-40 hours.
