Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Assists in the performance of funding, cash management, investment activities and general duties of the Finance Department. This position monitors all Treasury-related payments and collateral. This position prepares or approves reports related to funding, liquidity, hedging, investments, cash analysis and forecasting. Tracks and maintains records related to funding, cash management, investment and hedging activities of the Treasury Department. This position monitors, analyzes and forecasts deposit trends. This position supports ALM modeling and data compilation related to the Treasury and Finance functions. 
 

Essential Functions

  • Manage liquidity positions and forecast derivative and debt payments, deposit forecasts and monitor cash positions and interest rates. 
  • Monitor bank relationships, perform admin functions on bank cash management systems. 
  • Surveil and report findings on the Bank’s investment portfolio. 
  • Compile information to support reporting on Asset/Liability Management.
  • Create ad-hoc reports for treasury activities. Keep procedures up to date. 
  • Review derivative relationships for adherence to policies and accounting guidelines.
  • Manage and review interest rate indexes for loan systems and deposit systems. 
  • Compile information for auditors, accounting, and other internal departments on review of Treasury’s records and trades. 
  • Special projects and process improvements.

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, mainly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.


Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.


Travel

Limited local travel may be required for this position.

 

Education and Experience

  • B.A. degree in finance or accounting. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or public accounting.
  • Advanced certification (CPA, CFA, etc.) preferred.
  • Familiarity with account administration and loan operations is preferred.
