The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting Lynchburg Acute Care managers and/or department directors with business development and analysis efforts including feasibility studies, compilation and analysis of financial statements, and analysis of operational issues. As part of a team will support the infrastructure necessary for budget preparation and management reporting.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates responsive service to Lynchburg Acute Care leadership team regarding questions and informational needs in an accurate and timely manner
Assists directors and managers with preparation of Lynchburg Acute Care budget
Assists leadership in holding operational directors accountable to budget and productivity goals including on-going review of critical operating indicators with appraisal to management
Prepares necessary financial analysis to assess the business impact of proposed projects and operational changes
Works with all finance personnel on monthly closing financial analysis and special projects
Works with finance personnel and department managers to review and submit capital requests
In collaboration with Finance director organizes and leads monthly department finance meetings
Presents financial analysis and budget information in a logical format with sufficient support
Participates and contributes to decision making process and supports decisions in a positive manner
Proactive in bringing issues and recommendations for improvement to the attention of management staff
Uses financial analytical and interpretive skills to produce the highest quality work in a timely manner
Invests time in reading and research to ensure knowledge growth to remain up to date on pertinent issues
Willing to learn and acquire new skills to improve job performance
Keeps abreast of regulatory issues as appropriate
Demonstrates flexibility to adjust workload

Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Accounting, Business, or Finance
Preferred Education: Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
Required Experience: For Finance - Excellent verbal and written skills. Analytical and interpersonal skills For Pharmacy- In lieu of a Bachelors of Science (BS) degree, five or more (5+) years experience as a pharmacy technician with pharmacy purchasing experience. Thorough understanding of metric conversion and medical terminology. Familiarity with drug and chemical nomenclature. Excellent verbal and written skills. Analytical and interpersonal skills
Required Certifications and Licensures: For Finance: N/A. For Pharmacy - Valid Virginia Driver's License. Certified Pharmacy Technician
Salary Range: $58,926.00- $88,389.00 / Year
