Job Summary

Evercare Financial Services is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our in-office team in Skokie. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, learning new systems, and turning financial data into useful information for management.

The Financial Analyst will assist with financial reporting, operational analysis, reimbursement and revenue trends, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and accounting-related projects. This position is heavily involved in analyzing the financial and operational performance of skilled nursing facilities and supporting leadership with clear, accurate, and timely information.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and an interest in healthcare finance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

  • Prepare reports related to revenue, expenses, reimbursement trends, accounts receivable, cash flow, and facility performance

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

  • Review monthly financial results and help explain variances to budget or prior periods

  • Support accounting and finance projects, including reconciliations, reporting improvements, and data cleanup

  • Work with internal teams to gather information, understand operational results, and improve reporting accuracy

  • Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation

  • Help create dashboards, summaries, and analysis for management review

  • Learn and apply healthcare finance concepts, reimbursement rules, and operational metrics

  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned work

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data and identify trends or issues

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks

  • Must be able to work in person at our Skokie office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting background or familiarity with general ledger activity

  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software

  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, or cash flow analysis

  • Interest in healthcare, skilled nursing, or operational finance

About the Role

This position is best suited for someone who is curious, organized, and comfortable digging into details. The right candidate does not need to know everything on day one, but should be eager to learn, ask questions, and develop a strong understanding of both the financial and operational side of the business.

If you are motivated, analytical, and looking for a hands-on finance role with room to grow, we encourage you to apply.
