About the Role

As a Finished Goods/Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory of finished goods within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures proper storage, tracking, and distribution of products while minimizing discrepancies and optimizing inventory accuracy. You will collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure seamless inventory operations.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory, including stock levels, locations, and transactions
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits, resolving discrepancies as they come up
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overages, ensuring efficient stock rotation
  • Partner with production teams to verify finished goods are available and ready for shipment
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to support timely order fulfillment
  • Use inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, etc.) to track stock movements and generate reports
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to management
  • Help develop and improve inventory control procedures to boost efficiency
  • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse management

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift experience required
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus

Physical and Environmental Requirements 

  • Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. 
  • Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors. 
  • Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed. 
  • PPE: Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear. 
  • Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment). 
  • Stamina: Stand for long shifts. 
  • Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork. 
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
