FIREFIGHTER

Seeking highly motivated professional individuals to fill current/future vacancies for firefighters. All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a Firefighter position:

• 18 years of age by the date of hire
• High School Diploma or GED,
• Valid Driver's License.

In addition, candidates must be employed in a similar position with another jurisdiction in Virginia or submit a copy of a valid Regional Firefighter testing certificate or provide proof of successful completion of an equivalent test. Applicants employed with another jurisdiction in a similar position in other states will be considered if their training and qualifications exceed or meet the Virginia Department of Fire Programs criteria.

Starting salary is $51,655.
