Floor Care Technician
Location: Epworth Villa
Status: Full-Time
Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour, based on experience

Epworth Villa is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of our campus through specialized floor care and facility support services. Your work will directly contribute to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep-clean floor care throughout the community, including:
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Carpet shampooing and extraction
- Stripping, waxing, and buffing hard-surface floors
- Clean and inspect trash rooms and common areas.
- Assist with room setups and breakdowns for meetings, resident activities, and special events, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Move resident furnishings and assist with deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
- Respond to and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Inspect resident and common areas for maintenance concerns and report needed repairs or equipment replacements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Support other Facilities department functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently to communicate with residents, family members, visitors, and coworkers.
- Knowledge of floor care equipment and cleaning procedures preferred.
- Ability to operate floor machines and related cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity standards.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or industry-related certification preferred.
- Previous experience in floor care, environmental services, housekeeping, or facility maintenance preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, and carry materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to move furniture and operate floor care equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance when necessary.
