About the Program and Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor Position:
Our Palm Beach Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) Program provides bundled support to youth in foster care in the South Florida region. Our trauma-informed framework (ARC) includes specialized training for foster parents and a multidisciplinary team that wraps around the youth, family, and permanency resources. This makes a difference because our team approach provides a space for healing while providing skill-building and future-focused planning for youth in our care. We provide support with a multidisciplinary team that includes a Manager, Youth Skills Coach, Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor, and Clinician. The Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor engages with the community to promote the need for and generate interest in fostering. They connect with prospective foster parents, answer questions, vet and certify new foster homes. Join us and find loving homes for youth in need.
How you get to use your skills as a Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor…
Work with TFFC treatment teams and the program manager to anticipate foster parent recruitment needs.
In conjunction with the agency’s Corporate Communications team, develop and execute outreach strategies to reach prospective foster parents.
Recruit, train, and facilitate certification of foster parents. Training may include: CARE training
Complete licensing packets, including home study and necessary components
Conduct initial and follow-up training for foster parents
Assist program management team with foster parent support, serving as a resource and trouble-shooter for foster families
Maintain motivation and treatment participation of foster parents; ensure a good working relationship with foster parents
Document and track all certifications of homes in the state system
Required Experience of a Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred
Florida State Certification Board strongly preferred
Flexibility to work when the families are available to meet
Flexibility to work in multiple counties
Experience working in a busy human services environment– strongly preferred
Strong skills in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram for recruitment purposes
Demonstrate ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to exercise greater judgement
Florida Driver’s License required
Ability to travel to other agency locations as required
Physical Requirements of a Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor:
Computer work requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time
Time on your feet for up to several hours a day
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Time driving to conduct client and family visits
Setting up and breaking down informational tables and materials at recruitment events
Schedule: Exempt
Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Must be flexible to meet program needs.
