Job Description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for performing customer support and service tasks within a community club setting to support daily operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Greet customers and answer phones at the front desk. Take accurate messages with details for manager.

    Account for correct money transactions and cash drawer.

    Book space for clubs and organizations.

    Log and handle all paperwork and keys accurately.

    Be knowledgeable of and make reservations for bus tours.

    Follow rental procedures for center equipment.

    Support special events and programs including setup and breakdown of events. Some janitorial duties may be included. 

    Monitor usage of facilities. Enforce rules and regulations.

    Assist the Recreation Department with special projects, reports, and inventories.

    Ensure all forms and waivers are properly signed by customers and filed.

    Ensure that the center and equipment are kept clean.

    Notify Assistant Manager of Events and Program Sales of any changes, conflicts, repairs, and maintenance issues at the center.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

    High School Diploma or GED

    Customer Service experience

    Office or Hospitality Industry Experience a plus    

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk

    Must be able to lift/reach 40 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
