Seeking Part-time (PRN) Front Desk Receptionist. The successful candidate will manage the reception area, greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, supervise work service students, and oversee the mailroom.
Position is part-time, PRN, evening and weekends, on-site.
Typical Work Schedule:
Evenings / Weekends 3:30 pm – 9:30 pm or 11:30 pm
PRN as needed: 20-32 hours a week.
**PRN as needed Weekdays 7:30 am – 4:00 pm TBD
Classification: Non-exempt, hourly, PRN/part-time, 11-month (August - June)
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in basic computer programs.
- Two-five years of experience as a receptionist in an office environment.
- Must enjoy working with the public, especially adolescents, and being part of a team.
Duties:
Administrative
- Implement “Student Sign Out” rules and procedures.
- Greet and check in/out visitors, notify ASMS personnel when appointments arrive.
- Be familiar with ASMS policies and implement appropriately.
- Check leave requests, parent permission forms, and identification.
- Answer incoming calls.
- Answer basic questions regarding ASMS; transfer all other questions to appropriate departmental representatives.
- Oversee distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages for students, faculty, and staff.
- Check phone messages daily; give messages to appropriate recipients.
- Be familiar with ASMS Emergency Procedures and implement as needed.
- Work with Student Affairs to manage school vehicle binders.
Continuous Improvement
- Implement the mission, goals, and policies of ASMS.
- Supports the school’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Tracks data for reporting purposes.
Miscellaneous
- Responsible for the tidiness of the reception area.
- Build an open and collaborative relationship with students, parents, Community Life Staff, Operations, and Security personnel.
- Assume other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Coordinator, Directors, Vice President, and/or President.
