Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our growing team! This role supports an ambulatory/physician office by performing a variety of clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.
This position plays a key role in coordinating patient care, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting both providers and patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient scheduling, registration, and administrative support for the practiceĀ
- Room patients, take vital signs, and assist providers with clinical procedures (aligned to CCMA scope)
- Answer phones, manage messages, and maintain medical records and documentationĀ
- Enter charges, support billing functions, and handle cash transactions when neededĀ
- Coordinate referrals and authorizations with insurance providers
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsĀ
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification required
- Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding preferredĀ
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and confidentiality
