The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and running stations with up to two lathes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read & Interpret Blueprints and Drawing to Setup, Edit, and Machine Parts (Fasteners, Midlines) to tight specifications and tolerances
Responsible for operating and running stations with up to two NC lathes
Machine small to mid-size parts (2–8-inch midlines/fasteners for Flexible Piping)
Utilize common machining tools: Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, etc. to perform QC on finished parts.
Fast Pace, but precise work
Ability to keep a safe and clean working environment. Shop is kept very organized and clean.
Work in a safe manner.
Responsible for quality of parts produced.
Responsible for documentation generated or related to production of the job.
Work within tolerances of +/-.005”.
Work from blueprints, sketches, and process control documents.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required.
All candidates must be punctual and reliable. Strict attendance policy.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or G.E.D.
A minimum of 4 - 7 years’ experience doing setups, edits, and machining on CNC Lathes
Candidates must be able to read prints to do own setup & editing as needed during runs.
Experience with Okuma Lathes with Live Tooling a major plus.
Experience with G-Codes & Okuma Controls (OSP – 200LA and 300) a major plus.
Experience with carbon, stainless, Duplex materials.
Experience running station with multiple machines in a fast-paced work environment

Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
Climb stairs and ladders
Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
Work in confined spaces when required
Operate heavy equipment and power tools

Perform repetitive movements
