Job Description

Shift:                      Day; with some occasional early evening hours

Status:                  Full-time; 8 shifts (72 hours) per biweekly pay period

Weekends:           No

Holidays:               No

This is support staff for our Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. Previous experience working in a Physician Practice setting is preferred. This position reports to the Practice Manager.

Qualifications/Experience:

·         Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.

  • CPR/BLS required within 90 days of hire.
  • 3 to 5 years previous experience working in a physician practice setting is preferred.

·         Prior experience with an Electronic Health Record system.

  • Demonstrates excellent ability to work with the public and individuals of varying ages.
  • Collaborates and establishes a good working rapport with Office Providers and all internal/external customers in order to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients and Office Providers.
  • Demonstrates competency with applicable policies and procedures as outlined in the Orientation Program prior to the completion of orientation.
  • Required to become skilled in the EPIC Electronic Health Record System.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
  • Ability to travel and learn at all MHMG offices.

Skill/Ability:

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, to exercise good judgment and successfully manage a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to think critically including interpretation, analysis, and evaluation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize care in handling various patient loads.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries weights up to 50 pounds.
