Position Summary ::
PlaySimple Games is looking to bring onboard Game Director (Product Manager) who will be responsible for creating the long-term growth vision, strategy, and scale for a specific product line. This role will be responsible for managing the P&L and driving the planning and execution of all the goals associated with this product line. The role will report into the General Manager and will be based out of Bangalore.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities & Duties ::
The candidate will be responsible for chalking out the long-term vision, strategy, and goals for games, generating $100M in revenue.
Will play a hands-on role in leading the product and design function and start by creating the product roadmap and all the aspects aligned to it
Will play a leading role in drafting an impactful product roadmap
Will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of the roadmap
Will work closely with the cross functional leadership to ensure that the right nudges are provided to meet the expectations that will be set with them.
Identify from an operation standpoint, the key levers, initiatives, and effort that will be leveraged / required to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
Will set financial goals both from a cost and revenue perspective and will stay-within and exceed goals as expected.
Will work with the central marketing and monetization teams to drive the reach, ensure active engagement and related revenues from customers and other sources..
Will be responsible for nurturing and grooming his / her team members to perform at their highest potential.
Will identify up potential risks, hurdles that could impact the goals and have solutions or will work with the leadership team to arrive at solutions from a pre-emptively.
Work Experience and Skills
Bachelors in engineering/ post-graduate from top tier business schools
10+ years years of total experience
Should have worked extensively in product roles in a consumer facing apps or games. Gaming industry experience is an added advantage.
Should bring in first hand P&L ownership experience.
Should have built B2C products which have a large user base/ potential for a large user base. Experience in building/ launching a new product line/ BU/category from ground up would be preferred.
Strong understanding of metrics that influence user engagement, retention and monetization
Leadership experience of managing large teams including senior product team members along with design, art and UX teams
Should have a strong ability to drive revenue numbers
Will bring significant first principles thinking to the table and be a problem solver at heart.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to wear different hats comfortably from time to time.
Will be a hands-on leader with his/her team and drive alignment to the larger purpose,engagement with the organization and higher productivity.
Will bring a go-getter attitude to the table and display a “do-what-it-takes” attitude towards meeting goals.
