Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; a strong academic background is required.

Semester: Fall 2026

Adjunct Faculty: Welding Technologies

Example: The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and teach a 16-week course.

Course: WELD100G

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

The compensation rate is $850-$1000 per contact hour [or $47.95 - $59.45 [per clinical rate per hour if applicable]. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

Education: Associate's Degree or Welding Certificate

Experience: Ex. 5 years

  • Experience in all major welding processes, including but not limited to Oxy-Fuel, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc, Flux Core, and Aluminum in all positions.
  • Knowledge and ability with code welding procedures and specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints with a strong mathematics background.
  • Experience with fabrication, equipment, and other tools of the trade
  • Possess leadership skills with a focus on safety
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
