Position Summary:
The General Manager (GM) will oversee the daily operations of a Chick-fil-A restaurant, ensuring that our team delivers outstanding customer service while achieving operational excellence. As a GM, you will lead, manage, and develop your team, all while maintaining a high standard for product quality, cleanliness, and profitability. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive, high-energy culture, ensuring Chick-fil-A's standards are met, and driving the success of your location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 90-130 employees to create a positive, high-performance culture.
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent.
- Empower your team to deliver exceptional customer service and exceed operational goals.
- Provide ongoing feedback and implement strategies to foster continuous growth and development.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations including food quality, service, cleanliness, inventory management, and cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with Chick-fil-A standards, local health, and safety regulations.
- Drive efficient workflow, manage staffing levels, and implement best practices for maximum productivity and profitability.
- Financial Management:
- Manage the restaurant’s P&L, ensuring targets for revenue, expenses, and profit are met.
- Analyze financial data, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service and hospitality are maintained at all times.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Promote Chick-fil-A’s brand and values in all interactions with customers and the community.
- Community Involvement:
- Act as a representative of the Chick-fil-A brand in the local community.
- Develop and foster relationships with customers, local organizations, and businesses to drive customer loyalty and brand awareness.
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing people and creating a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and operational metrics.
- Proven track record of achieving business goals and improving operational performance.
- Proven track record of developing employees and building leadership teams.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of Chick-fil-A operations and culture.
