About the Role:

The General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Miami Beach, FL, responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations. This role manages front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth shifts, and adherence to company standards. The General Manager monitors financial performance, including budgeting, sales, labor, and cost controls, while identifying opportunities to improve profitability. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. The General Manager also ensures compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, addresses guest feedback, and collaborates with ownership and leadership to support strategic initiatives and uphold the Joe’s Stone Crab brand.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and retain staff at all levels.
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and analysis of key performance metrics.
  • Exceptional guest service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, with a commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with restaurant management systems, POS platforms, and basic office software.
  • Experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant or similar hospitality environment is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is a plus.
