GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and profitable growth of Petro Rubber Products. Reporting directly to ownership, this position is accountable for driving revenue growth, expanding market opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the business.
As the senior leader of the organization, the General Manager provides oversight of Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping, Customer Service, and Administration. This position develops and executes business strategies that increase market share, improve financial performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the continued growth of Petro Rubber Products within the oil and gas industry.
The successful candidate will be a proven business leader with a track record of driving revenue growth, developing customer relationships, and leading profitable operations within the oilfield industry.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
Business Growth & Customer Development
- Develop and execute strategic business plans that drive sustainable revenue growth and increased profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships within the oil and gas industry.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with customers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Support business development activities through customer visits, presentations, contract negotiations, and industry networking.
- Collaborate with ownership to establish annual revenue objectives and long-term growth strategies.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to expand Petro Rubber Products' market presence.
Leadership & Operations
- Lead all functional areas of the business, including Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping, and Customer Service.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Develop department leaders through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Establish measurable operational objectives and monitor organizational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Petro OS and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Financial & Organizational Leadership
- Develop annual operating budgets and manage financial performance.
- Monitor revenue growth, gross margins, operating expenses, and profitability.
- Evaluate capital investment opportunities that support long-term business growth.
- Ensure organizational resources are aligned to meet customer expectations and strategic objectives.
- Prepare operational and financial reports for ownership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience may be considered.
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive leadership experience with responsibility for business operations, financial performance, and organizational growth.
- Demonstrated success leading a business unit, division, or company with accountability for both operational performance and revenue growth.
- Previous leadership experience within the oilfield service, oil and gas manufacturing, energy, or industrial products industry is required.
- Demonstrated experience developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting sales growth.
- Experience managing budgets, financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cross-functional business operations.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience serving as a General Manager, Business Unit Manager, Division Manager, or other executive leadership position with full P&L responsibility.
- Experience working within a privately held company or entrepreneurial business environment.
- Demonstrated success increasing revenue, expanding market share, or developing new business opportunities.
- Established knowledge of oilfield production equipment, elastomer products, or related oil and gas applications.
- Experience supporting sales organizations, customer relationship management (CRM), contract negotiations, and strategic account development.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Petro OS, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Stable employment history demonstrating progressive leadership growth and long-term organizational commitment.
