Summary of Position:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of UGM Motors operations, including sales, service, inventory, staffing, financial performance, customer and vendor relationships. This role is unique in that it combines executive-level business leadership with ministry leadership responsibilities. Success is measured not only by operational and financial results, but also by how effectively the Mission’s values and purpose are reflected through daily operations, staff leadership and community impact.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Result Area #1: Core Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all departments (sales, service, detail, upholstery, and administration)
- Ensure efficient workflows, productivity, and accountability across teams
- Develop, implement, and refine SOPs to maintain consistency and performance
- Monitor and manager inventory levels, acquisition processes, and vehicle readiness
Financial Management & Stewardship
- Manage departmental budgets, revenue goals, and expense control
- Review financial reports and adjust strategies to maintain profitability
- Ensure accurate tracking of cost of goods sold and met performance
- Maintain financial integrity and accountability in all practices
Sales & Customer Experience
- Oversee sales strategy, pricing, and inventory positioning
- Ensure a high standard of customer service and satisfaction
- Support sales staff development and performance
- Maintain ethical sales practices aligned with the Mission’s values
Staff Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop department managers and staff
- Conduct performance reviews, hiring, and workforce planning
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and growth
- Support staff well-being and maintain a healthy work environment
Donor & Community Engagement
- Oversee donor vehicle intake processes and communication
- Ensure a professional and respectful experience for donors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the community
- Represent UGM Motors in alignment with the Mission’s reputation

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED:
Computer (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Carousel, internet browser)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum requirement: High School diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or automotive management
- Preferred: 10-15 years of progressive dealership experience including several years in leadership
- Preferred: Strong sales leadership background

Summary
BENEFITS:
- Two hundred and eight hours (26 days) paid time off per year to include 6 major holidays. (160 hours of PTO for Full-Time)
