Summary/Objective 

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Administrative Assistant performs administrative support services for the Graduate Medical Education Department.  He or she contributes to the development of the program's educational and administrative goals. 

Essential Job Duties

  1. Provides support concerning program-related activities and projects. Organizes and prepares minutes and follow-up for GME meetings, including, but not limited to GMEC and AIR.
  2. Interprets and applies ACGME policies and hospital policies to support compliance, along with participating in and providing assistance with ACGME Institutional Surveys. 
  3. Compiles and submits reports with program oversight to the office of Graduate Medical Education.
  4. Processes and maintains all contracts for GME and Medical School affiliations, as well as coordinating Medical Student rotations.
  5. Assists with interview season. 
  6. Prepares and processes Special Order Requests, Check Requests, Invoices and Expense Reports; Schedules meetings/calendar appointments for leadership, faculty and residents; maintains files/portfolios on all residents/fellows; creates and maintains spreadsheets; prepares catering requests to include ordering nutrition items; assists with and has fundamental knowledge of grants; retrieves mail from hospital; and performs other duties as assigned.
