About the Role:

The Groundskeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of real estate properties within the rental and leasing industry. This position is responsible for the upkeep of outdoor spaces, ensuring that landscaping, walkways, and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing to residents and visitors. The Groundskeeper will perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and removing debris, contributing to the overall curb appeal and value of the properties. Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to climb ladders safely and perform frequent bending and physical labor.
• Basic math skills including the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Experience or knowledge in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to follow both oral and written instructions accurately.
• Strong depth perception and manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform detailed tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a groundskeeper or in a similar landscaping role within the real estate or property management industry.
• Familiarity with the use and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Certification in pesticide or herbicide application.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations related to groundskeeping and equipment operation.
• Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance, certifications preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular landscaping duties, including edging, trimming, planting, and watering, to maintain healthy and attractive grounds.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently, including trimmers and ladders.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify maintenance needs, hazards, or improvements.
• Remove debris, litter, and snow as needed to ensure clean and safe walkways and common areas.
• Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor structures and irrigation systems.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude when interacting with residents, visitors, and team members.
• Maintain building exterior area as well as hallways and stairways, keep them free of debris.
