Role Overview
The Growth Lead serves as the commercial engine for Game Plan Tech’s product division. This is a high-autonomy, full-cycle sales role designed for a professional who can build a pipeline from scratch, run a disciplined sales motion, and close deals for our portfolio of compliant cloud and AI solutions. You will be responsible for driving revenue for products ready for external customers while simultaneously working with leadership to develop go-to-market strategies for emerging solutions.
As a trusted advisor, you will guide prospects through the complexities of government-contracting compliance, specifically focusing on CMMC, and drive the adoption of Google Workspace within public sector organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Lead product sales efforts including the coaching/leading of junior sales reps, 3rd party BDRs and the BDR team.
- Sales Execution: Own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualifying marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) to negotiation and closing.
- Pipeline Development: Proactively build a self-sourced pipeline from lead lists and manage warm referrals from strategic partners, ensuring consistent communication throughout the funnel.
- Strategic Positioning: Position compliance certifications—such as CMMC, SOC 2, and FedRAMP—as key sales differentiators for our cloud and AI solutions.
- Consultative Advising: Act as a Google Workspace Sales Specialist, helping government and education agencies transform collaboration through consultative selling and thought leadership.
- GTM Strategy: Partner with the General Manager (GM) and Product Engineers to develop go-to-market playbooks, pricing strategies, and competitive battlecards.
- Market Intelligence: Feed customer insights and market signals back to product teams to inform the future roadmap and refine messaging.
- Reporting: Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and provide accurate revenue forecasting within the CRM.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of B2B software or technology sales experience, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience selling into regulated industries or government markets, with a strong understanding of public sector procurement (RFI/RFP, contracts, and compliance).
- Technical Literacy: Ability to sell technical products to both technical and executive buyers, translating complex features into clear business and compliance value.
- Sales Tooling: Proficiency with modern sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and a disciplined approach to CRM management.
- Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver tailored product demonstrations and value-based proposals.
