Job Description

Position Duties

  • Greet students and families at the front office window
  • Answer general financial aid inquiries in person, by email, and by telephone
  • Assist students with completion of FAFSAs, entrance and exit counseling, and master promissory notes
  • Filing and shredding on a daily basis 
  • Pack and mail award notifications, exit packets, verification documents, athletic documents, application packets, satisfactory academic progress documents, and other letters/packets as needed
  • Prepare documents and cover sheets for the verification process
  • Assist with preparation of Excel files as needed
  • Assist with financial aid workshops, Open Houses, and other events as needed
  • Other general office duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2.5 cumulative GPA (3.0 or better preferred)
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential student information
  • Reliability and punctuality 
  • Appropriate dress and professional behavior and attitude required
  • Current enrollment as a GSU student
