Summary of Position:
The Hard Armor Production Technician supports the manufacturing of hard armor products by performing hands-on production activities throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on manufacturing and production activities associated with the fabrication of hard armor products.
- Prepare, organize, stage, and handle raw materials, components, and products according to work instructions and production requirements.
- Inspect materials and products throughout the manufacturing process for visible defects, damage, or nonconformance and report issues according to established procedures.
- Accurately complete required production documentation and maintain product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles and workplace organization standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality requirements, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in training and cross-training activities to develop proficiency in multiple Hard Armor manufacturing processes.
- Communicate production, material, equipment, safety, and quality concerns to team leads or supervisors in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with team members, leads, supervisors, and other departments to support production requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior manufacturing, production, warehouse, assembly, or related hands-on work experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and consistently follow standardized manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to perform repetitive manufacturing tasks accurately and consistently.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required by production demands.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the facility. Frequent use of hands and arms to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to work in warehouse and production environments, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
