Role and Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all Galley operations, including supervision of staff, food service execution, safety compliance, and overall performance of the facility. This potions serves as the primary point if contact for the Captains Bay Galley Specific duties include: · Oversee all food preparation and safety practices to ensure full compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as all WSI policies and procedures. · Direct inventory control operations, including procurement, tracking, and accurate recordkeeping to support operational efficiency and cost control. · Ensure that all employees are working safely and following proper Safety and Sanitation Procedures. · Identify, report, and correct safety hazards. · Collaborate with the Galley operations manager on ordering, menu making, and implementing new SOP’s. · Maintain all logs associated with health and safety. Also, those logs apply to the oversight and organization of the Galley. · Lead, train, and develop Galley staff, including performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary. · Conduct monthly inventory count. · Address employee feedback and meal concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications and Education Requirements · 3-5 years of related culinary experience. · MS Office experience. · Must be able to communicate well with others. · Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment. · Previous experience with ensuring that proper safety procedures are relayed and followed. · Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
