Position: Head of Program Management

Location: Bangalore, India

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Governance

• Lead and oversee a portfolio of strategic programs and projects across group business.
• Establish and drive program governance frameworks, delivery standards, and best practices.
• Ensure successful planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of programs within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Define and implement program management methodologies, reporting mechanisms, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for program-level governance with customers, internal leadership, and delivery teams.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and serve as a trusted partner in achieving business objectives.
• Part of executive-level reviews, steering committee meetings, and program status reporting, as required.
• Manage escalations proactively and ensure timely resolution of risks, issues, and dependencies.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Program Management Office (PMO) and project management team.
• Coach project managers and program managers on delivery best practices, stakeholder management, and risk management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Support capability building through training, process improvements, and adoption of industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in IT services, with at least 5+ years in Program Management or Delivery Leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-project programs and customer engagements.
• Strong expertise in program governance, portfolio management, delivery management, and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing offshore–onsite delivery models, preferably with German or European clients.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of digital platforms, enterprise IT, cloud technologies, data engineering, and software development lifecycles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on execution excellence.
• PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications, or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
• German language proficiency is a strong plus (not mandatory but preferred).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent management qualification preferred.
