Job Description

Department: Healthline

Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  M-F 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
1 HR LUNCH

Summary:

The Health Advisor I is responsible for managing customer contacts and database activities. This role involves receiving and answering calls from customers requesting medical services or seeking clarification regarding a Baptist Health entity or other medical facility. Key duties include scheduling appointments, handling referrals, and providing information designed to promote Baptist Health facilities, programs, and services. The advisor is expected to consistently meet customer expectations while maintaining strict confidentiality in a professional and discreet manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Some college is helpful.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years heavy customer service, sales and/or public service experience is required.
  3. Proficient in relevant computer applications, experience in database management. 
  4. Preferred experience with: Avaya Multi-line Telecommunications hub, Care Enhanced Contact Center scheduling software, NexGen Physician/Clinic Software, EPIC, Cybersource, Groupwise Email/Internet, PC, Facsimilie and Copier.
  5. Uses good judgment and has strong problem solving skills.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  7. Ability to prioritize, multi-tasking qualities, stress tolerance and ability to work efficiently and cooperatively.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
