This position is responsible for overseeing the staffing and operations of the WV Vaccine Program within the  Immunization Services Division of the Bureau for Public Health. The position will offer specialized immunization support to vaccine program providers and other stakeholders, enforcing provider training requirements, and managing marketing/communications on behalf of the Immunization Division.  The position works closely with the Quality Assurance and Training manager, the Immunization Data System (WVSIIS) manager, and the MIS Technical Manager.  Facilitation and logistics of vaccine distribution across the state of WV to more that 450 vaccine providers is the priority of this position.  This position works within a framework as outlined and funded by the Centers for Disease Control as one of 66 funded jurisdictions across the nation.  Responsible for budget creation and reporting for all funds used for the purchase of vaccines in West Virginia.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.

Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.

 
Experience: Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a program administration capacity.

Substitution: Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.

 
Promotional Purposes Only: Eight years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
