This Opportunity:

  • Join our talented team to support highway project delivery, working alongside an established team to expand our presence throughout the Florida Panhandle

  • Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion

  • Mentor staff as needed to provide a positive team environment

  • Maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory programs, funding requirements, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations

  • Represent SEH with agencies at project and public meetings

  • Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects

  • Present proposals to clients and participate in project interviews

  • Conduct final inspection of construction projects

  • Provide expert-level field inspections for conformance with engineering plans and specifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • This opportunity is open to candidates located near Tallahassee, Panama City, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Myers, Florida, or surrounding locations

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida

  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, occasional overnight travel may be required

  • Experience in highway design and construction of FDOT projects

  • Design experience in any of these; Microstation/GeoPak/ORD (Open Roads Designer)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six (5) years design experience

  • Active participation in professional organizations, conferences and technical publications

  • Previous experience with a Civil Engineering Consulting firm doing design or project management
