Part-Time Custodian
Holy Trinity School – Somerset, Ohio
Position Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Principal

Position Summary

Holy Trinity School in Somerset, Ohio is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment rooted in the school’s Catholic mission. This position supports the formation of our students by ensuring that the physical environment reflects the dignity, order, and beauty befitting a Christ-centered community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring supplies are stocked
  • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building
  • Maintain floors (including periodic deeper cleaning as needed)
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for school events, liturgies, and activities
  • Monitor and report maintenance or safety concerns to the principal
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., replacing light bulbs, basic repairs)

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks
  • Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy

Work Schedule

  • Part-time hours 
  • Flexibility for occasional additional hours during events, holy days, or summer cleaning
