Opportunity Summary:

The Driver’s function is to operate a tractor-trailer combination to accomplish several duties. The first, and most common duty is the accurate delivery of products to the various restaurant customers.  Drivers must also regularly position trailers at the appropriate loading dock so they can be loaded; on occasion this duty may be performed for an entire shift. To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Class A CDL with at least two years of previous work experience utilizing this credential.
 
How you will make contributions that matter:
  • Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck.
  • Maneuver vehicles and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles. 
  • Unload and deliver products to our customer utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnel.
  • Complete delivery and pick up paperwork. 
  • Pick up returned product as required.
  • Collect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, etc. 
  • Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle. 
  • Complete company training and certifications as required.
  • Effectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workers.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
What You'll Bring:
  • Education – High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience – Customer service experience, Experience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environment, Stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experience, Foodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience.
  • Other Required Skills or Abilities – Knowledge of DOT rules and FMCSA guidelines, OSHA regulations, customer service, technical skills.
