SUMMARY OF JOB
Home Care Systems Support staff are the designated technical and operational resources within Home Care and Hospice who will develop an advanced understanding of how the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Homecare Homebase (HCHB)/ Point Care system operates within all home care and hospice departments. Additionally, they will be a resource for other EMR/HCHB/ Point Care users when a technical or operational issue exists. All Home Care Systems Support staff will work to transfer the necessary knowledge to end users. They are the internal experts on the system and its implementation. Home Care Systems Support staff will be called upon for testing system updates, troubleshooting system issues, as well as for identifying errors in daily workflows. Home Care Systems Support staff need a firm grasp of EMR/HCHB/ Point Care and have a high level of technical skill to effectively navigate EMR/HCHB/ Point Care, learn how it works, and be able to teach their colleagues. Home Care Systems Support staff will support the organization related to any special projects related to operations and systems integrations for systems (ancillary systems included). On Call rotation and travel required.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science with 1yr EMR/HCHB/Point Care systems experience required or
- 3 years equivalent EMR/HCHB/Point Care systems experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Clinical License preferred, not required
- Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles
- Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed
- High drive with a will to make a difference and succeed
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach others
- Strong communication skills
- An overall pro-active and open mind-set
- A high-level understanding of IT systems and how you work with the functionality provided
