JOB SUMMARY
This job requires providing support to clinical staff and supervisors as appropriate to promote patient care by taking on any task and/or assignment as indicated, including assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring and observation, transport, documentation, answering phones/doors and other clerical duties as assigned.
When assigned to the front desk area, this job provides minimal essential coverage of, reception, patient registration and medical record services support, under the direction of the appropriate supervisor, or the Director of Clinical Operations. This includes both routine activities (monitoring the front desk and lobby entrances) and tasks which vary in volume and nature.

Work Environment
- Keeps working areas neat, orderly and clutter-free, including the hallways. Adheres to cleaning processes and puts things back where they belong. Removes and reports broken equipment and furniture.
- Picks up and disposes of any litter found throughout entire facility.
- Posts flyers and posters in designated areas only; does not post on walls, doors or windows.
- Knows where the Environment of Care Manual is kept in department; corrects or reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate departments.
- Protects the physical environment and equipment from damage and theft.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduation and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Note: Physical/Health Screening; fingerprinting and background check required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Prior experience working in an acute care and/or psychiatric hospital setting.
CNA Certification
Current nursing student who has completed a rotation in an inpatient hospital
Maintains flexibility in relation to patient assignment, shift, assignment and work assignment.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Active American Heart Association CPR certification
- CPI Training within 6 months of hire
