Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations and profitability of Skyview Hotel and Norman Restaurant. The GM oversees staffing, training, supply and product ordering, property maintenance and guest interactions. The General Manager reports to Nomada Hospitality, and is responsible for supervising the heads of each department including BOH, Restaurant/Bar Manager, Maintenance, Housekeeping and the Front desk. The GM oversees the implementation of company culture, company vision, brand & employee standards, policies & procedures as envisioned by Nomada Hotel Group.

The General Manager oversees inventory and ordering, maintenance, and staffing, delegating where appropriate, in all departments to ensure costs and budgets are met. The General Manager works with each department manager/supervisor to ensure that company standards are being upheld, facilitate communication between departments, and drive profitability.

General Responsibilities:
Hiring, offboarding and overseeing the onboarding and training of all staff.
Creating a monthly financial analysis.
Serve as guest relations representative of the company, ensuring the timely resolution of all issues, the proper handling of VIP guests and public interactions.
Ensure that property maintenance issues are addressed swiftly and efficiently.
Oversee the reordering of inventory levels, loss prevention, dynamic pricing and monthly full inventory for all departments.
Control labor costs across all departments.
Maintain company safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain company HR policies and keep accurate reports and documentation where necessary.
Ensuring that all communications systems and collateral are up to date, including, the Toast POS, StayNTouch PMS, OTAs, Opentable, Website, Compendium, menus, etc, delegating where appropriate.
Adhere to company policies regarding payroll, wage and hour law. Take appropriate disciplinary actions to minimize the risks associated with violations.
Work with Nomada to ensure brand standards are maintained, costs are controlled, and that the work environment is clean, presentable and safe at all times.
Supervise the FOH management at Norman to ensure proper food handling, bar certification, presentation, and FOH staff menu training.
Effectively partner with the Sales Director ensuring the onsite team is able to successfully execute and implement special events and programing in accordance with company guidelines and brand standards.
Work with Nomada marketing department to communicate collateral and marketing needs.
Work with Nomada accounting to ensure all reporting, transfer and inventory deliverables are met on time.
Oversee correct coding of all invoicing, credit card reconciliations, as well as all automatic system integrations.
Complete payroll for hotel and restaurant on time and verify 100% hours and payment types.
Oversee the success of major services and holidays.
The GM is responsible for ensuring proper manager coverage across all departments at all times, according to brand standards.
Communicate major issues on the property to Nomada in a timely manner, including but not limited to: major property maintenance, major guest relations issues, major violations of company standards, major health and safety issues, illegal activity.
Lead weekly management meetings.
Perform 90 day and yearly performance evaluations for all assigned subordinates (with department heads or Nomada where appropriate); while outlining clear goals, expectations, and ensuring adherence to company policies and expectations; through documented disciplinary action, when necessary.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years in a management position at a Hotel and/or Restaurant
Strong verbal and written English communication skills required to effectively lead teams, resolve guest concerns, conduct training, prepare reports, and communicate with ownership and corporate leadership.
Passion for and commitment to luxury hospitality
Boutique Property experience preferred
Special events experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
Ability to move throughout all areas of the hotel and property for extended periods during the workday.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods while overseeing operations and interacting with guests and team members.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and crouch to inspect facilities or assist with operational needs.
Ability to walk between the designated parking area and the worksite, including navigating an inclined pathway
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and tolerate varying weather conditions while inspecting the property or assisting with operations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business demands require.

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The rate referenced in the job posting is the budgeted rate that Granada Hotel and Bistro reasonably expects to pay for this position.
