Job Description

Job Title: Housekeeping Associate



Hours:  Monday - Friday 9 am - 2/3 pm



About This Role



This role exists to ensure that Brookwood Church facilities are clean, organized, and ready for daily ministry activities to occur. You are key to creating a positive first impression.



 



In this position, you will maintain common areas, restrooms, and meeting spaces to create a welcoming environment for groups meeting throughout the day. Your work will directly impact staff, volunteers, and guests by ensuring spaces are clean and ready for use.



 



What You’ll Do




  • Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, and meeting spaces

  • Prepare rooms and environments for scheduled morning and afternoon groups

  • Monitor facility conditions and address housekeeping needs proactively

  • Ensure housekeeping supplies are organized and easily accessible by other staff and volunteers

  • Support the needs of ministries and groups on-site

  • Communicate facilities issues and supply needs to the Facilities Manager

  • Improve cleanliness standards and consistency across spaces

  • Partner with Facilities team members and other ministries as needed

  •  Spaces are consistently clean, stocked, and ready for ministry activities

  • Restrooms and common areas and maintained throughout the day

  • Staff, guests, and groups experience a welcoming and well-prepared environment

  • Maintaining and improving current cleanliness practices

  • Excellent communication and teamwork with facilities team members and other staff and guests



 



Who You Are




  • High attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership

  • Organized and dependable with the ability to manage routine tasks

  • Service-minded and positive attitude



 



What You Bring




  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or facility support experience preferred

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in task completion

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team



 



Work Environment & Expectations




  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-1pm; occasional evenings or weekends to support events and ministry needs

  • Work Setting: On-site

  • Pace: Steady, with peaks tied to group schedules and building usage

  • Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, lifting, and cleaning tasks
