Housekeeper

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean resident apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces.

• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize common areas, offices, and entryways.

• Clean carpets and hard-surface floors according to schedule.

• Empty trash from apartments, bathrooms, offices, and common spaces.

• Clean patios, courtyards, sidewalks, ashtrays, and entryways to maintain a neat appearance.

• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces in compliance with infection control standards.

• Follow established daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for all areas of the community.

• Environmental Maintenance Support

• Maintain cleanliness of courtyard furniture and outdoor community spaces.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and chemical safety.

• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds routinely.

• Must demonstrate patience, tact, and professionalism when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial work, preferably in senior living or healthcare.

• Familiarity with OSHA cleaning guidelines and infection control procedures.
