Housekeeping Aide | Long-Term Care Facility

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper / Environmental Services Aide to join our housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, well-presented facility.

Housekeeping Shift: Part-Time | Full-Time

Housekeeping Requirements

• Minimum 10th grade education required

• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred

• Knowledge of general cleaning procedures, sanitation techniques, and infection control practices

• Ability to work courteously and diplomatically with residents, patients, and staff at all times

• Must successfully pass a thorough background check/screening

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, bending, and lifting

Housekeeping Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping and environmental services tasks per established cleaning procedures and assigned work schedule

• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish furniture and surfaces

• Clean and disinfect floors, bathrooms, and common areas as directed

• Perform terminal/discharge cleaning when a resident is transferred or discharged

• Conduct spot checks of vacant rooms; clean and sanitize as needed

• Follow all facility safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines when performing tasks and handling equipment and supplies

• Clean and maintain supply carts and housekeeping equipment

• Respect resident rights and personal property at all times; report all found articles to supervisor

• Assist with inventory of resident personal belongings as assigned

• Attend departmental meetings, in-service training, and on-the-job educational programs as scheduled
